2027 Vermont Tour Spotlight

Introduction:
For 2027, we are offering 17 Tours, of which 6 are new. While these new tours require a lot of planning time this Fall, I also go through our existing Tours to make sure they remain the best they could be.
We have a lot of tours. Each year some come back on the schedule, while some get put on the shelf for a few years.
Our Vermont Tour first ran in 2025, and won a place on our 2027 schedule for a number of reasons. These reasons include its challenge level, scenery, stops and campsites.
Updates:
The big update that our Vermont Tour will get for 2027 is, like many of our other Classic Tours, we are adding a rest day. Our updated itinerary is as follows:
Day 1: Sunday, July 11 (9:00am). Burlington to Salisbury (53 miles)
Day 2: Monday, July 12. Salisbury to Barnard (45 miles)
Day 3: Tuesday, July 13. Barnard, to Marshfield (65 miles)
Day 4: Wednesday, July 14. Marshfield to Lake Elmore (42 Miles)
Day 5: Thursday, July 15. Rest Day, Lake Elmore
Day 6: Friday, July 16. Lake Elmore to Franklin (50 miles)
Day 7: Saturday, July 17. Franklin to Grand Isle (55 miles)
Day 8: Sunday, July 18. Grand Isle to Burlington (19 miles)

Our 2027 Vermont Tour is a 8 day, 7 night self-supported bike camping trip with a Rest Day built in to Day 5. Starting and ending in Burlington, the route is a counterclockwise loop of the northern half of the Granite State.
This ride explores back roads, dirt roads and quaint towns, crosses the Green Mountains, and spends 75 miles on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Our ride finishes with a tour through the Lake Champlain Islands and a ride over its famous Causeway (with a little ferry!) back into Burlington. Stopping at General Stores and Creemee stands are built into the itinerary, as the vacation/adventure will challenge you as well as make you wish you lived in Vermont.
