 Ride Tables

Ride Tables are a way to understand and compare the mileage and climbing data from a Tour or Micro-Tour. Using the last column ("Feet of Elevation / Mile"), one can understand how difficult a ride day will be.

For a single day's ride, anything over 5,000 vertical feet is generally considered a lot, but a "hard" ride is subjective and depends on factors like ride length, gear weight and individual fitness. A common benchmark is 100 vertical feet per mile, which is a good rule of thumb for a hilly or mountainous ride.
