Intro: First and foremost, please read our Cancellation Policy. Also, this is technically a "digital download" purchase as my website either needs physical inventory, or its a digital download (a tour is neither). Feel free to ignore download link that will be sent.
Tour Description: Our 2027 Vermont Tour is a 8 day, 7 night self-supported bike camping trip with a Rest Day built in to Day 5. Starting and ending in Burlington, the route is a counterclockwise loop of the northern half of the Green Mountain State.
Spend eight days discovering Vermont the way it was meant to be seen—slowly, by bike, and with everything you need packed along for the ride. This self-supported loop begins and ends in Burlington and takes you deep into the Green Mountain State on a mix of quiet backroads, dirt roads and 75 miles of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, with mountain crossings, classic Vermont towns, general stores, creemee stops and beautiful state-park campsites along the way. You’ll ride from Burlington through Salisbury, Barnard, Marshfield, Lake Elmore, Franklin and Grand Isle, with a built-in rest day at Lake Elmore and swimming available most nights. The finale is pure Vermont: a ride through the Lake Champlain Islands and across the famous Causeway, complete with its tiny bike ferry, back into Burlington. It’s challenging enough to feel like a real adventure, relaxed enough to enjoy where you are, and by the end of the week there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be wondering why you don’t just move to Vermont.

Logistics: The trip starts and ends in Burlington VT on July 11 and July 18. Many people will arrive Saturday and even Friday night to enjoy a day of running around Burlington. If arriving early, there are plenty of hotels downtown, and a campsite (North Beach Campground) just 2 miles north of town (that's where I stay the night before).
The "Ethan Allan" Amtrak train is available from NYC direct to Burlington. Other Amtrak options include "The Vermonter" to Essex, VT or "The Adirondack" which would require a ferry across Lake Champlain. Many folks usually drive and carpool, and some have taken the bus. Hotels and a Public Parking Lot will let you park your car for the week.
If you are registering for this trip, you are highly encouraged make your travel plans soon thereafter and not wait until a week before the tour.
