In Progress. Registration Opens January 5th, 2027. 9am (EST)

Intro: First and foremost, please read our Cancellation Policy. Also, this is technically a "digital download" purchase as my website either needs physical inventory, or its a digital download (a tour is neither). Feel free to ignore download link that will be sent.

This trip was sort of born out of our 2025 Swimming Hole Tour that traversed this region.

Tour Description: Our Columbia County Tour is a perfect example of our new Medium Salsa format—a fully self-supported bike camping trip with manageable mileage, plenty of time to enjoy the places we’re riding through, and just enough adventure to keep things interesting. Over four days we’ll ride from the end of the Metro-North line at Wassaic north into Columbia County before turning west and south toward the Hudson, linking long stretches of the Harlem Valley and Dutchess Rail Trails with quiet country roads through some of the best farmland in the Hudson Valley.

Along the way we’ll pass through small towns, rolling farm country and classic Hudson River communities like Germantown, Tivoli, Red Hook and Rhinebeck, camping each night in New York State Parks. The riding changes character from day to day—easy railroad grades, open agricultural valleys, wooded back roads and river towns—but stays comfortably under 50 miles per day. We finish in Poughkeepsie, where Metro-North takes us straight back to the city.
